Problem with Church
Sunday, February 11, 2007
Recently, I noticed something about church that I don’t like.
We don’t come to be face-to-face. Rather, we come together to look at each others back of the head. What an exciting part of the body. The very nature of the church that we have inherited is that we don’t come to look each other in the eyes. How we sit says everything. When we sit facing each other, we tend to value interpersonal relationship. When we come and face outward, we tend to forget the importance of inner-community, but sitting face to back. Everything that happens comes out of that.
I wish we were face-to-face.
